Day 1 Vientiane Arrival

ADHVAN representative will receive you at Vientiane airport and transfer to the hotel. Check-in & relax.

Vientiane is a charming and fascinating capital, with an interesting mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, Soviet and American influences.

In the afternoon, enjoy a walk around the hotel area or walk along the riverbank area where you could view the sinking sun over the Mekong.

Overnight will be in Vientiane.

Day 2 Vientiane City Tour – Vang Vieng By road 175 km in 04 hrs

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Start for guided sightseeing visiting the major sites; including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image.

En-route to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.

Later drive to Vang Vieng – a small and tranquil village nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Its stunning natural beauty with a mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops remains unspoiled, despite recent developments with the advent of tourism.

Reach and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and relax.

Overnight will be in Vang Vieng.

Day 3 Vang Vieng – Xiengkhuang By road 310 km in 06 hrs

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Start your journey in local way, board a tractor and travel through the paddy field areas heading to Tham Jang caves, where your breath will be taken away seeing the most beautiful and famous limestone caves, surrounded by natural forests.

Along the way, you will have an opportunity to explore the local cultures by greeting the local villagers and learning about their daily lifestyle. There is a small natural pool in front of the caves where you can take a swim to refresh yourself from the warm/hot climate or you could explore the nearby areas.

Later drive to Xiengkhuang. On the way, we will visit minority villages as Khmu and Hmong.

Continue the drive and reach the hotel in Xiengkhuang. Check-in and relax.

Overnight will be in Xiengkhuang.

Day 4 Xiengkhuang City Tour

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Start for the sightseeing and drive out to visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site encompassing hundreds of large stone jars scattered throughout the plateau.

In the afternoon there will be time to see the old capital of Muang Khoun Province and its’ nearby villages which are home to the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people who possess an interesting local culture and a vibrant history.

Return to the hotel and evening will be free at leisure.

Overnight will be in Xiengkhuang.

Day 5 Xiengkhuang – Luang Prabang By road 306 km in 07 hrs

After breakfast, today, we drive 306km uphill a mountain surrounded by wonderful natural scenery to Luang Prabang. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos.

Reach and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and relax.

Overnight will be in Luang Prabang.

Day 6 Luang Prabang – City Tour – Pak Ou Cave

After breakfast, proceed for a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture.

We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.

Pak Ou (mouth of the Ou river) includes the Tham Ting (lower cave) and the Tham Theung (upper cave) are caves overlooking the founder name Mekong River. They are a group of caves on the right side of the Mekong River.

Along the way, stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, where they make the local rice wine LauLao (Lao whisky) and LauHai (Lao wine).

Upon return, we disembark traditional villages, visiting Ban Xienglek and Ban Xangkong, the villages of handmade jute paper making a village well known for its hand weaving.

During our time here, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai.

In the evening, proceed for the hike to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as an exasperating, beautiful view of the sunset above the city and the Mekong River.

Later From there, we explore street Night Market, where you will find a lovely collection of local handmade textiles of the hill tribes surrounding Luang Prabang.

Day 7 Luang Prabang – Kuangsi Fall – departure

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession.

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Proceed for the visit of The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign.

After visiting these sights in the morning, you have free time to explore the town and stroll around the shopping area.

Later visit Phosi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings.

Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will take soft trek to visit the Ban Ouay, Hmong Hill tribe and Ban Ou, Lowland Lao.

Continue driving to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall where you can splash around in the pools or walk along the forest trails.

Also visit the Bear Rescue Centre which relies solely on partners, corporate sponsors and donations from the visitors. Buying T shirt or other merchandise is recommended to fund this preservation.

As per your flight timings, you will be transferred to the airport to take flight back home / onward destination with pleasant memories of Laos tour.
