OVERVIEW

ITINERARY

Essential Myanmar - 6 Days / 5 Nights

ADHVAN representative will receive you at Yangon airport and transfer to the hotel.

Check-in and relax. Refresh and start for short city tour including walking tour, Bogyoke market and Shwedagon Pagoda.

Visit Bogyoke market where local merchants offer Myanmar traditional silks, cottons, paintings, tapestries, handicraft, national dress, ethnic fashion, gems and jewelry.

Later visit Shwedagon Pagoda the world famous golden stupa.

Overnight will be in Yangon.

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Reach Mandalay and drive to Amarapura (an hour drive), an 18th Century capital of Myanmar.

Visit Maha Gandayon Monastery to observe the daily meal of over a thousand monks at the country’s largest Monastery. And we will see Silk weaving; the craft specialty of Amarapura, which design silk are especially wear for special occasion for Burmese such as a wedding ceremony or graduation or social events.

Check-in at hotel and relax.

Later proceed for the sightseeing of Mandalay.

Maha Muni Image; the most sacred Pagoda in Upper Myanmar, Gold leaf workshop that we can see only in Mandalay, Shwenandaw Monastery; which can see a master piece of wood carving remain from the era of the last Burmese King, Kuthodaw Pagoda with its 729 stone slabs of Buddha’s scriptures (known as the world’s biggest book), Mandalay Old Palace. Then, we will drive to Mandalay Hill; enjoy the magnificent landscape over the city from this vantage point.

Overnight will be in Mandalay.

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Drive to Mandalay jetty for an hour boat excursion to Mingun village. Mingun stands on the bank of Ayarwaddy River and is 11 km away from Mandalay.

Pa Hto Daw Gyi Pagoda; built in AD1790 for 20 years long though, the construction was stopped, remained unfinished; Mya Thein Dan Zedi that was built by the King of Saggaing, as memorial for his beloved wife (and late queen) who passed away one week after giving birth to their son, Mingun Bell; weighs 90 tons and is considered the world’s largest ringing bell that was cast in 1805 A.D.

We will downstream to Saggaing. Picnic lunch will be served on boat while you are enjoying the river scenery of Ayarwaddy River.

Disembark at Saggaing jetty and proceed on a short drive to Saggaing Hill for a panoramic view of Ayarwaddy River background on Mountain, a home for nuns and their life.  En route to Mandalay, we cross over the   AVA Bridge that was built in 1927 during the period of British Colonials and partly damaged during WWII, renovated in 1954.

Drive to U Bein Bridge; a 165 year old, the longest teak bridge in the world, take a walk along on 1.2-kilometer long bridge at sunset. We will have an opportunity to board “Sampan” on the Taung Tha Man Lake.

Overnight will be in Mandalay.

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Mandalay airport to take flight for Heho.

Reach Heho and drive to Nyaung Shwe town (01 hr). En route visit Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery.

Later proceed to the hotel. Check-in and relax.

Proceed for the sightseeing starting with visit to Inpawkhon village (to see Traditional weaving Mill).

Continue visiting Nam Pan Village, Black Smith and Burmese Cheroot.

After lunch, visit Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, and Floating Garden.

Overnight will be in Inle Lake

Have breakfast at the hotel.

This morning, enjoy seeing 5 Days Market.

Visit Indein village; magnificent place where thousands of pagodas are clustered in the same complex, supposed to build by one of the kings from the Bagan era. You will love walking through the bamboo forest, climbing the stairways heading to the hill, over viewing the lake.

After lunch, visit workplace of Shan paper that is made of mulberry bark and transformed into Shan umbrellas and other beautiful products.

Drive back to the resort and have a relaxing evening.

Overnight will be in Inle Lake.

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Heho Airport to take flight to Yangon.

Reach Yangon and proceed for the city tour subject to your international flight timings.

Yangon city tour starts with walking tour in the heart of downtown where you can see Interesting colonial building and history of Rangoon … Indian quarter, Sule pagoda, City Hall, Independent monument, Immuel Baptist Church, colonial building along Pansodan Street walk along Kanar Street, The classic Strand Hotel, Australian Embassy, British Embassy, General Post Office such as 30 Heritage Buildings of Yangon.

Visit Botataung Pagoda located on the Yangon Water Front seeing the interesting belief of locals.

Sir Phoe Thar erected Chauk Htaut Gyi reclining Buddha Image in 1908. It is 235 feet (70 meter) in length and 101 feet in height. We can observe the Buddha’s footprint of 108 noble signs, which are shown only in, enlighten one.

General Aung San Museum was established in 1962. It was a colonial era villa, built in 1921. It was General Aung San’s residence till he was being assassinated in July 1947, the house where Mrs. Aung San Suu Kyi grown up as a child.

Later as per your flight timings, you will be transferred to the airport to take flight back home / onward destination with pleasant memories of Myanmar tour.
